Prof. Agnieszka Pawlicka obtained her master at Warsaw University of Technology in Poland and her Ph.D. in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry) at the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil in 1993. She is currently Professor at the University of São Paulo. She has published 189 full papers in professional journals and 22 conference proceedings. She is the author of three books and four patents and has received 17 awards. In 2014 she received the scientific title of Professor of Chemistry from President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski. She participated in several scientific international events and was a visiting professor at Warsaw University of Technology in Poland in 2008 and at the University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2011; in 2012-2013 and in 2015 she was a visiting scholar at the lab of Prof. Jerzy Kanicki of the EECS - University of Michigan, MI, USA. She is a member of the editorial board of four international journals and referee of more than 30 magazines and Brazilian and other international science sponsoring agencies. Prof. Tan Winie received her Ph.D. in Advanced Materials from the Faculty of Science, University of Malaya, Malaysia. She is now a Professor at the School of Physics and Material Science, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia. Solid State Ionics and Energy Storage Devices are her main research areas. She has published over 100 research papers in refereed international journals, several book chapters and held several patents and copyrights. She has received several medals and awards in international and national events. She is an Editor of the book Polymer Electrolytes: Characterization Techniques and Energy Applications (Wiley-VCH), Guest Editor of special issues of Materials Today Proceedings (2016 & 2017), Materials Research Innovation (2009) and American Institute of Physics (2009 & 2015), Editors in International Journal of Institute of Materials, Malaysia (IJIMM) and Science Letters. In recognition of her expertise, she has been invited as an article reviewer for several international scientific journals as well as examiners for postgraduate theses. Plenary Speaker Prof Anshuman Dalvi, India Currently professor in BITS Pilani, Prof Anshuman Dalvi did his M Sc (Physics) in 1997 from the School of Physics DAVV Indore. He did his Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur in 2004 under the guidance of Prof K. Shahi. His research interest lies in fundamental aspects of ionic transport in solids, particularly glasses, glass-ceramics, polymers, and ionic liquid confined energy materials. He is also interested in the application of fast ionic solid electrolytes to energy storage devices particularly Li+ and Na+ ion-based all-solid-state supercapacitors and batteries. He has been serving BITS Pilani for almost 18 years. His lab at BITS Pilani, India is fully equipped with fabrication and characterization facility for all-solid-state supercapacitors. The lab is also equipped with fundamental sophisticated materials characterization facility.

He has been an INSA fellow for international bilateral prgramme to work in Warsaw University of Technology, Poland in 2014. He has about 70 indexed international publications out of which 40 reputed Journals. He headed the Physics department of BITS Pilani for one full term, and currently serves as Associate Dean for faculty affairs.

Plenary Speaker Prof. S.A. Hashmi is presently at the Department of Physics & Astrophysics University of Delhi, India. His presently working in different fields related with energy materials and devices such as        

  1. Electroactive polymers for Batteries and Supercapacitors. Current interest is devoted towards the:
  2. Development of magnesium and sodium rechargeable batteries using gel polymer electrolytes,

Plenary Speaker: Prof. Pramod Kumar Singh, born on 20th April, 1971, is Head, Physics & Env. Sci. department at Sharda University, Greater Noida, INDIA. He has obtained his Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. He is engaged in teaching, research, administration and consultancy for the last 20 years. Prof. Singh has participated in various National and International Conferences, published more than 200 research papers in International journals of repute and authored 07 books.
As a postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Singh has visited South Korea, Norway and Turkey (~6 Years) abroad. He is currently associated as editorial board member in 7 International Journals. Professor Rajan Jose is a senior Professor in the Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and is the Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Springer Nature journal Materials Circular Economy and Editor-in-Chief of Current Science & Technology. He has served as the Dean of Research of UMP during Feb 2016 – Aug 2019 and a member of various committees of UMP and the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. He has investigated nanostructured perovskite ceramics for microwave and superconducting electronics during doctoral research at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Trivandrum, India and has received Ph.D. degree in the year 2002. He has contributed to the science and engineering of a diverse range of materials including inorganic and organic semiconductors, polymers, metals and alloys, materials for molecular electronics, biomaterials, glasses, and glass-ceramics. He was employed as a scientist at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (India), AIST (Japan), Toyota Technological Institute (Japan), and the National University of Singapore (Singapore) before joining UMP. He has published over 260 papers in the Web of Science (Thomson Reuters) indexed journals which are cited over 13300 times with an h-index of 61. He holds 25 patents. He has supervised 6 Postdoctoral, 23 Doctoral, and 10 Master’s researchers. Invited Speaker: Dr. Arul Manuel Stephan is a Senior Principal Scientist in the Electrochemical Power Sources Division, CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi (India). He undertook a JSPS fellowship to work with Prof. Yuria Saito at Osaka National Research Institute (Japan) and served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Chemistry, University of Tulsa, USA with Prof. DaleTeeters. He worked at Chonbuk National University (South Korea) as a visiting scientist for two years (with Prof. Kee Suk Nahm) and Politecnico de Torino (Italy) in association with Prof. Roberta Bongiovanni. His current research interests include advanced materials for lithium–sulfur batteries, fast charging of lithium-ion batteries, and Solid electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium batteries. Master’s degree in Chemistry. She is gold medalist in her Bachelors and Masters. She graduated from Monash University of Australia where she also received Vice Chancellor Commendation Thesis Excellence Award. Post PhD She got the prestigious INSPIRE Faculty award from Govt. of India and Alexander Von Humboldt postdoctoral fellowship from Govt. of Germany. She has also patents and also technology transfer to her name. Dr. Piyush Kumar Sonkar has received his B.Sc (Hons) (2010), M.Sc (2012) and Ph.D. (2017) in Chemistry from Department of Chemistry, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University. He has qualified UGC-NET and GATE examinations. Presently, he is working as an Assistant Professor (from 2017) in Department of Chemistry, Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Banaras Hindu

University, Varanasi, India. His research interest includes fuel cells, electrochemical devices, electrocatalysis, supercapacitors, bio-sensors, chemical sensors, nanoparticles and nanocomposites. He has published 42

Invited Talk: Dr. R PADMA SUVARNA has obtained M.Sc ( Physics) from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur in 1994. Obtained M.Phil., in 1997 and Ph. D in 2002 from the same institute. In 2011, Dr. R PADMA SUVARNA joined as an Associate professor in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Anantapuramu and in 2015, Dr. R PADMA SUVARNA became a Professor in the same institution. Served as the Head of the department from 2011 to 2022, co-ordinator of Internal Quality Assurance Cell from 2019 to 2022 and from 2022 onwards I have been serving the institution as the Director for Sponsored Research. Till now, Dr. R PADMA SUVARNA  has guided 09 Ph.D., students as a supervisor, 10 Ph.D., students as a Co-Supervisor and 6 students are still pursuing.

Dr. R PADMA SUVARNA has successfully completed 2 research projects: “synthesis of  conducting nano-polymers for lithium-ion batteries” sponsored by UGC of worth 9.67 lakhs and a  non-funding project “effect of irradiation on dye-synthesized solar cells” by IUAC, New Delhi. Dr. R PADMA SUVARNA  has published more than 65 research articles ( SCI papers-35) in journals of international repute with total citations of 1063, h-index of 18 and i-10 index of 26.  Dr. R PADMA SUVARNA  has also published 8 Book Chapters with international publishers like Elsevier, Springer, and Wiley etc. Also, serving as a reviewer to the journal of Material Science: Materials in Electronics and International journal of applied ceramics technology.

Plenary Speaker: Dr. George V. Alexander: Dr. George V. Alexander is working as Assistant Research Scientist at Maryland Energy Innovation Institute, University of Maryland, USA. He completed his PhD from Pondicherry University in 2021 and then worked as post-doctoral research associate at University of Maryland till July 2023. His research interests are in the area of energy storage and conversion, focusing on the synthesis of novel solid electrolyte materials, interface engineering, design and development of various solid-state batteries. Prof. Meenakshi Singh (born in 1970) received her Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India in 1995. She worked as a visiting researcher in the Department of Chemistry, University of Umea (2002–2003). She was appointed as Professor in 2015 in Department of Chemistry, MMV, Banaras Hindu University. Her research interests molecular imprinting (MIP) and MIP sensors, electroanalytical sensors, piezoelectric sensors, include polyelectrolytes, hydrogels and organogels. She is experienced in designing the novel polymeric formats for crafting molecular recognition elements to device sensors for biomolecules (peptides, proteins)/drugs using molecular imprinting technology. She has developed novel functionalized polymeric frameworks to be incorporated in Analytical technology based on molecularly imprinted polymers for detection of small target molecules. She has published many papers (~60) in peer-reviewed reputed international journals and supervised many Ph.D. (10) and master students in the field of Analytical chemistry.

Dr Wan Zaireen Nisa Yahya currently works as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia, where she is also the Program Manager for Master of Science in Process Integration. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from École Supérieure de Chimie Physique Électronique de Lyon, France and her Ph.D Degree in Polymer Science from the University of Joseph Fourier 1 in Grenoble, France. Her research expertise is in materials development, polymer, ionic liquid, organic solar cells, CO2 capture and conversion, electrochemistry, water electrolysis, energy, and environment where she has secured more than 10 research projects from international, national, industry, and internal fundings on these topics. To date, she has supervised 14 Ph.D.s and Masters students, and graduated 5 students as well as mentoring postdocs, research scientists, and research officer. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses namely Introduction to Materials Science and Engineering, Health Safety and Environment, Polymer Process Engineering, Process Heat Transfer, Cogeneration and Site Utility, as well as Design Projects. She has also been appointed as an international guest lecturer for two consecutive years for the Heat Transfer Processes course at Ho Chi Minh University of Technology in Vietnam.  She has published more than 50 articles in indexed journals and book chapters, with total citations of 652.

Dr. Ruwaida Asyikin Abu Talip is currently a Post-doctoral researcher at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), working on the development of ionic liquids composite membranes for PEM electrolyzer. She aims to solve the shortcomings of organic solvents in various applications particularly in energy devices through the introduction of the green solvent, ionic liquids. She received a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from UTP in 2023 and a master’s degree majoring in inorganic chemistry from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in 2018. Her Ph.D. thesis focused on the development of ionic liquids based electrolytes for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The selection process of ILs with suitable character was done using the computational method, COSMO-RS that can to predict the physicochemical and transport properties of a compound. The DSSC with the developed ILs based electrolyte through the study has successfully surpassed the performance of DSSC using commercial electrolyte by more than 10%. Her background in chemistry has helped her, especially in organic and inorganic synthesis as well as in the study of the chemical, physical, mechanical, and electrical properties of organic and inorganic compounds using advanced analysis techniques. Her research interest is in organic and inorganic synthesis, ionic liquids, electrochemistry, dye-sensitized solar cells, membrane development, and water electrolysis. She is the recipient of Sarawak State Foundation Scholarships Tun Taib (BYSTT) (2021-2023), Sarawak State Foundation Scholarships Tunku Abdul Rahman (YBSTAR) (2016-2018), and a member of the Malaysian Ionic Liquids Research Society (MILRS).
