introduction of the green solvent, ionic liquids. She received a Ph.D. in
Chemical Engineering from UTP in 2023 and a master’s degree majoring in
inorganic chemistry from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in 2018. Her Ph.D.
thesis focused on the development of ionic liquids based electrolytes for dye-sensitized
solar cells (DSSCs). The selection process of ILs with suitable character was
done using the computational method, COSMO-RS that can to predict the
physicochemical and transport properties of a compound. The DSSC with the
developed ILs based electrolyte through the study has successfully surpassed
the performance of DSSC using commercial electrolyte by more than 10%. Her background
in chemistry has helped her, especially in organic and inorganic synthesis as
well as in the study of the chemical, physical, mechanical, and electrical
properties of organic and inorganic compounds using advanced analysis
techniques. Her research interest is in organic and inorganic synthesis, ionic
